What Is Zumba Like?
Zumba is a mix of Latin rhythms such as salsa, merengue, cumbia and reggaeton as well as hip-hop and pop. You may find your hips shaking to hip-hop, belly dance, flamenco dance styles. The choreography is easy to follow, is repetitive and builds in intensity. Zumba classes are fun, social, energetic and embrace the joy of getting fit while dancing.

Is Zumba a Good Workout?
Dance is a great cardio workout offering amazing benefits:
- Cardiovascular Benefits. Because of the add-on choreography model, participants are continuously moving, keeping the heart rate up, thus lowering blood pressure, burning fat, and strengthening the immune system.
- Core Strength and Balance. Dance requires balance and helps build core strength, which promotes good posture and prevents muscle injuries and back pain by alleviating the work for the extremities. Core stability also reduces risks of falling or injury.
- Coordination and Agility. Dance improves range of motion (especially for the hips), enhanced joint and spine flexibility, and a reduced risk of back pain.
- Memory. Learning new dance moves and movement patterns and combinations helps with neuroplasticity, or the formation of new neural pathways or connections in the brain. The more we practice, the quicker our brains learn and can process new information.

4/10 The class is dynamic from start to finish and people of ALL levels of fitness will increase stamina, endurance and may come away with some new dance moves. Anyone and everyone can learn Zumba as the moves are simple and are repeated many times.

60-minutes of dancing your way to your healthiest you, while boosting your energy and your confidence.
What Should I Wear to Zumba?
Come ready to play. Typically, people wear sweat wicking clothing that will offer ample coverage and will stay put and allow you to move with ease throughout the range of motion of exercises.
Cross Trainers, Dance or Walking Gym Shoes. Comfortable shoes that offer support and stability as you move and dance during class. (Running shoes are not optimal because they are designed for linear movement and don’t offer lateral support needed as you will be moving sideways)
What do I need to Bring?
Hydrate my friend, make sure you have plenty of water with you. A towel to catch your sweat as you will be dripping and glistening. Most importantly, a great attitude and smile to share.

Sound the alarm and burn through 6 rounds of work with each round lighting a bigger fire through increased workload and intensity.
Retro Robics.
It’s a blast from the past! Work up a sweat with a touch of nostalgia in this heart-pumping, traditional aerobics class. This time around, legwarmers are optional!
SO YOU THINK YOU CAN’T DANCE.
Bring the magic of dancing back with this cardio dance class combining easy-to-follow moves, which results in a fun finale! Speed Play.
A high energy: high impact blend of kicks and punches set to upbeat music. The perfect combination of martial arts, boxing and cardiovascular training.

This bad@ss cardio class will put you on the treadmill to melt away calories. In it, you’ll use sprints and slow walks with varying speeds and ramp heights to get a workout that’s got all the ups and downs of a roller coaster.
The Ultimate Dance Party.
It’s party time in this class! Let the music move you as you learn easy to follow dance combinations that are designed to elevate your heart rate and burn some serious calories. Once you’ve mastered the combos, prepare for a little friendly competition as you face off with your classmates in a team vs team dance off.
