In this jam-packed, wall-to-wall workout, you will Work the Room, exploring every inch of the studio and every piece of equipment available! Push your limits as a team at each station using a variety of equipment and a wide range of strength, cardio, core, and athletic drills. Each successive round of work drops in time but increases in intensity. Help your team push itself to new heights! Work the Room and crush some serious fitness goals!

What Is Work the Room Like? 

In this format, you’ll work the room as you progress through a circuit of exercise stations encompassing strength, plyometric, agility and core training. Three rounds per exercise challenge both speed and power. There’s never a dull moment in this class as you train with all kinds of equipment while moving throughout the whole room!

Who Are Work the Room Classes Best For? 

All levels of fitness are welcome in Work the Room, a fabulous total body strength, plyometric, core, agility and cardio workout with easy-to-follow athletic drills and exercises. Options are available to scale exercises so rookie exercisers will feel empowered and workout warriors will be challenged.  

 

Is Work the Room a Good Workout?   

Yes, it’s time to clean house and Work the Room! Varying your exercises, trying new equipment and interval training are all components to a great workout! 

  • Strength. The simple strength training-based stations build bone density, boost metabolism, and increase lean muscle mass. 
  • Plyometric Training. As part of the station rotations, plyometric exercises build bone density, muscle strength, and increase sports performance by boosting stamina and metabolism. 
  • Cardiovascular Training. Cardiovascular training stations interwoven throughout the workout flow cranks the heart rate up, allowing participants to experience fat-burning benefits even during the strength-based stations. Cardiovascular training lowers blood pressure strengthens the heart muscle and bolsters the immune system.
  • Core Conditioning. Stations that focus on core reinforce the postural elements that protect participants from injury and reduce strain on the joints. 

How Difficult is Work the Room? 

5/10 All fitness levels can accomplish simple athletic drills and exercises.  Work the Room exercises consist of 3 rounds of timed intervals of increasing intensity.   Beginner or Beast mode welcome here as exercise options are available and promoted!  

How Long Is Work the Room? 

30 minutes of circuit training stations containing strength and core exercises as well as cardio and plyometric drills keep you in peak shape.    

What Should I Wear to Work the Room? 

Come ready to play. Typically, people wear sweat-wicking clothing that will offer ample coverage and will stay put and allow you to move with ease throughout the range of motion of exercises.  

Cross Training Gym Shoes.  Be sure to wear comfortable shoes that offer support and stability as you sprint, leap, lift, and lunge during class.   

What do I need to Bring? 

Hydrate, my friend! Make sure you have plenty of water with you.  Also, pack a towel in your gym bag to catch your sweat, as you will be dripping and glistening. Most importantly, bring a great attitude and smile to share. 

What Types of Classes Are Available?

Cardio Tai Box.

A high energy: high impact blend of kicks and punches set to upbeat music. The perfect combination of martial arts, boxing and cardiovascular training. 

Dance to HIIT.

Hit the dance floor in this unique class that features high energy cardio dance combinations mixed with a touch of strength and core. Move, groove and shake your way to a total body workout. Listen to the latest hits and get ready to Dance toHIIT. 

 

Ignite20.

Torch calories in this high intensity Tabata based cardio class designed to ignite the fire within. A unique combination of body weight exercises and specially designed burnout rounds ignite the fire in this workout. Sound the alarm and burn through 6 rounds of work with each round lighting a bigger fire through increased workload and intensity. 

Retro Robics. 

It’s a blast from the past! Work up a sweat with a touch of nostalgia in this heart-pumping, traditional aerobics class. This time around, legwarmers are optional! 

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN’T DANCE.

Bring the magic of dancing back with this cardio dance class combining easy-to-follow moves, which results in a fun finale! This nonstop format will have you dancing and grooving to feel-good music while breaking a sweat and having fun! Think you CAN’T dance? Think again! Soon you’ll dance like nobody’s watching!
